With over 28 years of experience, he has extensive national and international experience in the construction sector in the areas of production, management and business development.
He was Managing Director of Somague-Sacyr between 2006 and 2016 for the Republic of Ireland market, having accumulated equal functions for the Northern Ireland and Mozambique markets, between 2012 and 2016.
From 2016 to 2018, he held consultancy roles in the area of Financial Services, Risk Analysis and Strategic Plans for Boards of Directors of companies based in the United States of America and United Arab Emirates, with an area of expertise in construction, real estate investments and logistics services.
In 2018 he joined FCM Construções, S.A as Director of Planning and Strategy, having assumed the role of CEO in 2019.
With a degree in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, he has two MBA degrees, one from Georgetown University, Washington, USA, and the other from ESADE, Madrid, Spain, and two post-graduate degrees in Management, one from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon, and another by Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.
He is an effective member of the Order of Engineers, a member of FEANI - European Federation of National Engineering Associations, a member of Harvard Business School Alumni, USA, a member of the Harvard Club of Portugal, and a member of ESADE Alumni, Spain.
Rui Cruz

Rui Cruz started his activity in the financial sector in 1996, having a vast and recognized national and international experience, mainly focused in the civil and public construction sector.
Until 2009 he was responsible for areas of administrative and financial management in several projects in Portugal.
Between 2010 and 2014 he was director of planning, control and financial management for Europe, Asia and Africa at Zagope - Construções e Engenharia, S.A.
In 2014, he assumed responsibilities in the Algerian market, performing the role of “Head of Financial Governance” and Advisor for the Financial areas for the companies of the same Group.
In January 2020 assumed the role of CFO of Grupo FCM.
Rui Cruz has a degree in Management by University Internacional and has complementary degrees in Commercial Management and Marketing, Risk Management, Accounting, Tax and HR.
Rui Dias Lopes
Business Development Director
Influential and recognized executive of the sector, he accumulates vast experience and contributions achieved at national and international level.
At the end of the eighties he started to hold management positions in several of the main national companies in the Construction and Public Works sector, such as ENGIL in 1989, SOCONSTROI in 1993, SOMAGUE in 1998, HAGEN in 2007.
In the organizations in which he participated, he performed as an agent of change and dynamization of new and daring business strategies, driving their growth, performance and profitability.
Currently performs on the Executive Committee with responsibility for the Business Development of the FCM Group.
With a degree in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, he started his professional activity at the company MSF -Moniz da Maia, Serra and Fortunato.
