This contract was part of the Baixo Tejo concession and connects 9 municipalities on the south bank of the Tejo River, benefiting about 715,000 inhabitants, allowing an improvement in accessibility to the various investments in progress in the region.
Viaduto das Freiras consists of two bridge decks with approximately 15m wide and 150m length. The bridge deck was executed with a traveling formwork (FCM's own solution) with falsework. The circular pillars were around 10m high.
The Valadares Viaduct has a prefabricated tray and consists of 2 bridge decks with a total of 25m width and 275m length. The work was implanted on a sanitary landfill where there was aggressive residuals for the concrete. To guarantee the durability of the work the foundation piles were executed with a protection constituted by a metallic pipe.
